Operation Christmas Child is not just for children! It is also a great charitable activity for your workplace.
You can collect shoeboxes, hold fundraising events, become a drop off point for the shoeboxes or even go and help check the boxes in a local warehouse.
Every year thousands of people have a wonderful time organising a shoebox collection and other activities in their workplaces. Many invite their families along with key suppliers and customers to get involved in supporting this special Christmas project.
1. Order your FREE resources - we have posters, leaflets and a DVD - everything you need to get your workplace fully on board with Operation Christmas Child this year.
2. Download our workplace leaflet - including fun ideas to inspire and motivate your colleagues.
3. Talk to your colleagues about this exciting opportunity and ask them to start saving shoeboxes now! You can even show them our powerpoint presentation or this year's DVD which unpacks how it all works.
Paul Kaye, General Sales Manager of Leeds Building Society has highlighted its participation in the Operation Christmas Child Appeal and described its effect on staff and customers. He claimed that workers and clients at Leeds Building Society felt like they were part of "something bigger" by being involved in the campaign, which is organised by the Samaritan's Purse. "We think Operation Christmas Child is a brilliant campaign that we recommend others to be part of" he added.
So taking part in Operation Christmas Child can be as simple as packing a few gift-filled shoeboxes at lunch or volunteering as a department to go and help out at a nearby warehouse. It's up to you!
Operation Christmas Child has a Facebook fan page and Twitter account @OCC_UK which we would encourage you to join so that you can read our regular updates and connect with other workplaces doing shoeboxes.
