Samaritan’s Purse partner in Romania, Alina, gives the lowdown on shoeboxes arriving in her country.
“I deliver shoeboxes in my poor village and last March I was on my way home when two little boys caught up with me and began telling me all about the shoeboxes they had received in December. With excitement filling their faces, they named every single item! The little boys accompanied me home and talked non-stop about their shoeboxes the entire journey. It was three months after the event and yet the joy on their faces would have made you think they had received the gifts that very day.
This year, I have delivered more shoeboxes and the response from the children is overwhelming. They are a wonderful gift that keeps on giving all year long.”
