Hilary McFall and her team at Melksham warehouse got off to a flying start as they launched Operation Christmas Child 2009 in their local region. Last year the busy team collected 35,356 shoeboxes and this year they’re determined to see even more shoeboxes sent to children in countries like Liberia.
The launch day was a medley of cake sales, craft events and even knitting lessons. One little girl sat all morning learning to knit and was thrilled when she finished her square. So many children overseas will benefit from these hats, scarves and gloves!
With over a 100 people turning up for the day, the team were delighted to discover they had raised over £700 for Operation Christmas Child.
