Djevad lives in Montenegro with his mum, dad, uncle, aunt and his 6 brothers and sisters in their makeshift home.
Life is a struggle for this family of Kosovan refugees. There is no financial support from the government and their children are not allowed into school. Djevad’s mother feels that nobody is helping them, but thanks to the shoe boxes, Daniel (a Serbian missionary) has been able to befriend and help them so that the children no longer need to go begging. Djevad was very pleased to receive a toy that plays pop music in his shoe box, and he began singing along to celebrate!
Pictured are refugee children Kujtesa, Iso and Ujvesa who recived their shoe boxes in Podgorica Montenegro.
