Jelan (6) and Shella (4) live at Plemaden, a refugee camp in Kosova.  Their father said ‘Thank you very much for bringing these gifts for my children.  It makes a big difference as we don’t have the money to buy them gifts to make the happy.’.

Life remains a struggle as this family’s home is close to a large factory polluting the air they breathe and 65 euros a month is not enough to cover their healthcare costs.  Both girls attend the local school provided especially for this community. Children come in the morning or afternoon and Jelan and Shella both enjoy learning and being with the other children. Their beautiful smiles showed their gratitude for the gifts they had received.

Mohammed (11) lives with his 5 brothers, 7 sisters, mother and father at Plemaden, a refugee camp in Kosova.  He was very grateful for his shoe box and was already wearing the hat and scarf he received.

Mohammed is frustrated by the discrimination in Kosova and wants to become a policeman when he is older.  He hopes to make a difference in the world by serving his country and encouraging people to understand each other and live in harmony.  He said ‘Thank you very much for the shoe boxes, no one else takes care of us.’
