Students from Bedford Primary School, Liverpool, are big supporters of Operation Christmas Child. Last year they had the chance to visit their local processing centre and saw first-hand how the shoeboxes are sorted by hundreds of volunteers, ready to be sent to children in countries like Swaziland. Check out what happened on their visit.

The visit so inspired the students that they suggested to the school council that Operation Christmas Child could be something they do all year round. Out of this suggestion came a fantastic idea. The school council decided to have a monthly non-uniform day where they would collect different donations for the shoeboxes, from toothpaste to face clothes.

Thanks to all the students, Bedford Primary School now has a huge collection of gifts that they are donating to the processing centre. Students will also be completing their own shoeboxes. However, for those who cannot manage a whole box, they will still have played a role throughout the year.

Thank you Bedford Primary School for helping Operation Christmas Child send even more shoeboxes to children in need this Christmas.
