Operation Christmas Child is a great way to teach your kids how to give Christmas away. It’s simple – you send a shoebox packed full of goodies and it brings joy to a child overseas. And guess what, this year the VeggieTales are getting involved! The new DVD - Saint Nicholas, a Story of Joyful Giving - is both hilarious and inspirational and a great way to teach children the value of giving alongside actually doing Operation Christmas Child.

New to VeggieTales? Here's a short background...

Back in 1993, the production company, Big Ideas, designed little vegetable cartoon characters to convey Christian moral themes and teach Biblical values and lessons. The lead characters, Bob the Tomato and Larry the Cucumber, along with subsequent vegetables, act out Bible stories. It’s a fun way to share the Christian message to children and this year, Samaritan’s Purse is excited to be a part of the new Christmas VeggieTales DVD.
