Do you ever feel at a loss trying to find great ideas to bring corporate social responsibility into your workplace?
Operation Christmas Child is a simple and fun CSR activity for your workplace, yet also brings incredible joy to children in need overseas.
Join with thousands of workplaces from across the UK to pack, wrap and send gift-filled shoeboxes to children in need this year.
It really is a lot of fun and hugely rewarding; sometimes it can get very competitive, especially in larger organisations where different departments challenge each other to see who can pack the most shoeboxes!
Right. Night drivers from the Bibby Line Group have sent over 700 shoeboxes to children overseas since 2007.
Vin Lycett explains how BT in Wolverhampton is doing Operation Christmas Child this year:
“We’ve been organising Operation Christmas Child for over 10 years now and it’s become a real part of the fabric here in our offices. People love it and join in. Last year we did 92 boxes! We enjoy knowing that children around the world are receiving a present at Christmas because of our efforts.”
Vin is keen to provide tips on how to raise awareness, build support and organise Operation Christmas Child within your workplace. If you would like to be put in touch with her, send an email to info@samaritans-purse.org.uk.
